Is it a serious offence to eat unclean food?

"They that sanctify themselves, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together."
Answer
The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of God, and if we defile this temple, God will destroy us. Of all the animals listed as unclean, the pig is mentioned most often as a food that we are not to eat. The Bible says God will consume those who defile themselves by eating swine’s flesh (pork) and other abominable things.
