Question 6
How did God distiguish between clean and unclean animals?
Bible
Leviticus 11:47
"Make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten."

LAND ANIMALS: Leviticus 11:3
"Whatever parts the hoof and chews the cud, that shall you eat."
WATER ANIMALS: Leviticus 11:12
"Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, shall be an abomination to you." (don't eat it)
BIRDS: Leviticus 11:13-19
"These shall not be eaten: the eagle, ossifrage, ospray, vulture, raven, owl, hawk, swan, pelican, stork, heron, bat."
Answer
Foraging birds, such as the chicken, quail, and turkey, are clean, but birds of prey and scavengers are not clean. The land animals that chew their cud and have a parted hoof are clean, such as a cow, deer, and sheep. Fish that have fins and scales are clean, such as a trout, salmon, and tuna.
